Books and Products I love!!

Each year I promise myself that I will get better at blogging and do it more often, this is my attempt for 2016! I’m going to start out with a post about my favorite quilting books and products that I use. Check them out and feel free to leave a comment on your favorite quilting book or product!

I don’t have a huge library of quilting books, I tend to borrow from friends! But I will say the books I’m listing below with links are ones I have purchased and LOVE! I am part of Amazon’s associate program so if you purchase a book or product off of one of the links below I get a small percentage back (less than 5%). So check them out and see what you think!

My favorite book for cute, quick and modern baby quilts is, Modern Baby: Easy, Fresh, and Fun Quilt Designs. I highly recommend this book!

Give a tradition quilt a modern spin with Modern Designs for Classic Quilts: 12 Traditionally Inspired Patterns Made New Lots of great design ideas!

Another one for making a traditional quilt more modern is Vintage Quilt Revival: 22 Modern Designs from Classic Blocks Lots of names you’ll recognize!

This book is great for those quick one-block quilts! Modern One-Block Quilts: 22 Fresh Patchwork Projects
It’s one that I lend out a lot!

I took a class with Jacquie Gering and was smitten!! Such a great class and a wonderful lady! Her book has so many ideas and designs I don’t know where to start!! Quilting Modern: Techniques and Projects for Improvisational Quilts
Let me know what you think and if you ever get a chance to take a class with Jacquie, do it!

Another class I took was with Sherri Lynn Wood, she made me not afraid of curved piecing! The Improv Handbook for Modern Quilters: A Guide to Creating, Quilting, and Living Courageously
It’s really not hard!

This is a pretty nifty ruler for cutting curves (and showing you how to piece them! I don’t have the mini (yet) but love the regular size one! 1 X Quick Curve Ruler (7″ x 12″) by Sew Kind of Wonderful Contemporary Quilt Designs
Give it a try and see how easy curved piecing can be!

That’s all for this blog post, but check back next week and see what’s been added!

Keep Quilting!
